CAD 2D/3D

2D/3D vector CAD designed for architectural drawings, plant engineering, topographic surveys, advertising graphics, etc.

The tools used are similar to the most common CAD.

One of the special features are the hatches associated with graphic objects (Hatch) that can be replaced by BMP images (2D textures) if necessary, useful for quickly processing semi-realistic two-dimensional drafts.

The regeneration of the drawing with 2D textures is fast and instantaneous, perfectly integrated with all the vector elements inserted on the drawing with the possibility of unique and personalized prints.

Various 3D functions have been added to easily create three-dimensional models using pre-set blocks with ease of insertion through intuitive steps.

The visualization and management of "3D Solid Models" drawings is convenient and fast through the specific application integrated with the vector CAD (CADvet Render).

A Text Editor has been inserted inside the CAD to easily process technical reports by interacting directly with the vector drawing via the copy/paste method. In fact, it is easy to import numerical data (text format) or images. Conversely, texts written and processed by the Text Editor can be exported to the vector drawing even in "justified text" mode.

An additional feature is the ability to import various vector formats (DWG - DXF - DWF - DWT - SVG - PLT - HPGL - CADvet CVT - CADvet VEX - CADvet KVT etc.), CADvet 3D models (CVR - CVX - CVV), OBJ objects (Wavefront Object), STL (Standard Tessellation Language) 3D print files.

In addition to the native compiled VEC file, the CAD produces three types of files in ASCII format that can be read on any text editor (CVT - VEX - KVT).

- CVT ----- Complete file useful for exporting numerical data (ASCII text format) to all CADvet applications. The file contains all the entities of the CAD drawing, as well as Layer styles, dimensions, text fonts, blocks, etc.

- VEX ----- File similar to the CVT extension but much leaner and simpler as only the name of the plane (Layer), entity type and numerical data in Cartesian coordinates (x,y,z) are recorded

- KVT ----- File specifically designed to transfer vector data of a three-dimensional drawing (3D model) to the Render CADvet application. The format stores exclusively numeric values (vertices, polygons, Layers) of the three-dimensional entities only (3D Polyline and 3DFACE shapes) leaving out all the elements not necessary for the transformation of the model into a render. For this feature, processing is much faster than other recognized formats.

Ascii formats can be easily used by developers of their own applications to transform numerical data created by calculations of any kind into vector drawings. To learn the structure use the program guides.
